Winter Solstice Healing Hemlocks Hike

Join a special Winter Solstice Healing Hemlocks Hike around Mill Falls through hemlock groves that took root many years ago and are now threatened by an invasive insect. 🌲
Learn about the ways Parks Canada is helping protect the hemlock forests and ensure they stand tall for generations to come. 🌬️ Breathe deeply and be still with these stoic and enchanting lifeforms and feel their healing energy on this transformative journey. This hike will be led by two Parks Canada guides who give a scientific perspective and a mindfulness perspective.
Location: Meet at Mill Falls picnic shelter
Time: 1:00pm (2-hour experience)
Date: Thursday, December 21st
Fee: FREE – must register in advance
Language: Program delivered in English only
Note: Hot tea will be served at the end in the picnic shelter.
Ages: Not recommended for children under 12.
Accessibility: 2 km hike on hilly terrain in winter conditions.
Pets: No pets on the hike please.
