From 10:00 to 12:00 noon on Saturday, October 26, 2024 we will have a trail maintenance work party volunteer event on the Mainland Common Loop trail. The meeting place will be the parking lot at 69 Westridge Drive at the entrance to the Mainland Common Loop trail.

The work will involve:
– raking the existing wood chips back onto the centre of the pathways
– doing some hedge trimming and brush cutting
– trimming of vegetation and shrubbery

Please bring:
– fan rakes or garden rakes
– work gloves
– drinking water to the event

The pathways need some of the side vegetation and shrubbery and brush and tree limbs trimmed and cut. The previously applied wood chips have migrated to the trails’ sides and edges of paths and now need to be raked back onto the centre of the trail pathways.

I will bring the Association equipment to distribute for usage. But also please being your own drinking water, rakes, gloves , and hand tools such as loppers and trimmers if you have such gardening tools.
