Admission to the Keppoch and most of the activities are free on this day!\nHere’s a snapshot of what to expect:\n– Free s’mores and hot chocolate to enjoy around the fire\n– We’ll be firing up the BBQ and there will be some other munchies for a small fee\n– Town Rec is offering free\, intro to cross-country ski lessons (including gear!) on a first come\, first serve basis\, register here: forms.office.com/r/VakM1PSMmx\n– Family activities and kids’ games for everyone to enjoy\, including disc golf\n– Highland Trail Running will be on site with lots of goodies and will be leading a short 2km intro run at noon and a longer run at 2\n– All our winter equipment rentals\, including cross-country skis and snowshoes\, will be half price\n– The fine folks from Cross Country Nova Scotia\, Hike Nova Scotia\, the Department of Natural Resources and Renewables\, Make Your Move Antigonish\, and the St Fx Emergency Medical Response Team will be there as well\nKeep checking back; we’ll add more activities and community partners as we firm up our plans. DESCRIPTION:Take the Roof off Winter \n\n\nWe are happy to join Recreation Nova Scotia’s winter active campaign which helps Nova Scotians of all ages improve their health and quality of life by being active during the winter months! Come out and enjoy skating\, skiing\, snowshoeing\, hiking\, playing in the snow\, or sliding.  Warm-up around an afternoon bonfire with roasted marshmallows!  Skis\, snowshoes\, and sleds are available to use free of charge during the program on a first-come\, first-served basis! DESCRIPTION:Join us this Saturday February 24th at Van Tassel Lake Trails (859 Culloden Rd\, Digby) for a full moon night hike!!\n\n\n We will be meeting in the parking lot and beginning at 7:00pm. \n\n\nThe full lake loop is 3.5kms which will take approximately one hour. \n\n\nPlease be aware you will be hiking uphill and downhill through narrow trails\, which can be icy.\n\n\nIt’s going to be cold so dress in layers and with proper footwear\, flashlights/headlamps. \n\n\nWe have walking poles and ice grips available through the Digby Area Recreation Loan program.
